Book Review: For One More Day by Mitch Albom
“For One More Day” tells the story of Charley “Chick” Benetto and how his life went to the downside. He’s an alocholic, his wife and only daughter cut off their communication with him, he wasn’t invited to his only daughter’s wedding and he tried (but failed) several times to commit suicide. His suicide plan was to return to his original home, Pepperville Beach, and commit suicide there. On his last attempt, he was again unsuccessful (or so he thought) and as he staggers, all bloody and broken, back to his old home he found his mother there. The thing is, she passed away 8 years ago. The book gives the reader thoughts on what would you do if you were given another chance to meet someone whom you consider to have a very important stand in your life.

On being an Arashian
I really am against all forms of fandom since I thought it'll completely take up most of my free time and in some way, it'll be like a waste of time. Spending most of your time online, chatting with people whom you don't even know and in exchange for what? Nothing…
And everything changed when I became an Arashian.
"Arashian" is a term Arashi fans used to call themselves. ARASHI is a 5-member boy band group from Japan who appears on almost all media available. Truth to be told, I can say they're not only famous in Japan but internationally as well. I've been an Arashian (Arashi fan) for almost 4 years and I'm still an active fan. It's been some time and I last saw this post from Huxley via Vox but since Vox is now placed in a permanent downtime state, let me share this post with you guys.

The very next day a cute guy is delivered to her door and as she noticed, whatever physical attributes and/or requirements she entered into the site is possessed by the guy. The guy finally woke up and he wants to be her boyfriend! The cute guy happened to be sweet, smart, a great cook and he looks like a million bucks, which is what he's going to cost Riiko if she doesn't return him in the allotted time...

Drama Review: Dragon Zakura
![]()
Cast:
Abe Hiroshi, Yamashita Tomohisa, Nagasawa Masami, Koike Teppei, Aragaki Yui, Nakao Akiyoshi, Saeko
Summary:
Dragon Zakura is a series which concentrated on school themed dramas. Main person here is Sakuragi Kenji(Abe Hiroshi), a former motorcycle gang (but a certain teacher kept insisting he's from a gangster) turned lawyer. He was called to a certain high school to answer the school's problem in bankruptcy, primarily caused by the head director's impulsive shopping habit. He then boldly claimed that he will produce five students who can get into Toudai (Tokyo University; One of Japan's top University). The thing is, the school is known to house the most stupid, idiotic and lazy students ever found in Japan. Most of the students have an average score of 36.

Eiga Sai 2011–Movie Details
DEPARTURES Trailer
Masahiro Motoki (Daigo Kobayashi), Ryoko Hirosue (Mika Kobayashi), Tsutomu Yamazaki (Shoei Sasaki)
Synopsis:
When the orchestra in which he plays cello disbands, Daigo KOBAYASHI (Masahiro Motoki) abandons a career in music, and moves with his wife Mika (Ryoko Hirosue) to his home town in the north-eastern prefecture of Yamagata. He finds a ‘help wanted’ advertisement that seems to offer good terms for work with what he assumes is a travel agency, and goes for an interview in an office with new coffins lining the back wall. The company owner, Sasaki (Tsutomu Yamazaki), hires him with no more than a glance at Daigo’s résumé, at which point Daigo asks what exactly the company does and is told the work involves the ceremonial ‘encoffinating’ of corpses prior to cremation. He is reluctant, but Sasaki urges him to take the job and he accepts, telling Mika the work involves ‘ceremonies’. In this way he begins to travel around Hirano, in Yamagata, with Sasaki. A beautiful suicide victim who turns out to be a cross-dressing boy; a tearaway teenager dead in a motorcycle accident, an elderly grandmother who admired the baggy white socks favored by her grand-daughters with their high-school uniforms: Daigo encounters death in various forms and, although he is uncertain at first, begins to understand this work of ‘encoffination’ and somehow a respect for life as well. Mika, though, finds out exactly what sort of ‘ceremony’ the work involves. Appalled, she demands that he quit, and when he refuses, leaves for her family home back in Tokyo. He becomes alone again since his mother died several years before and his father having deserted the family when Daigo was a boy, but continues to believe in the value of the work he is doing. As winter turns into spring, he begins to feel confident in himself and his new career, but now a series of significant events take place in close succession: Mika returns, the mother of a close childhood friend suddenly dies, and he receives word that the father he has heard nothing from in 30 years has also passed away. As an encoffineer, as husband, as a son, and as a human being: how will Daigo deal with life and death among the people who are dearest to him? A final departure, to a happy farewell…
